So I used to have a tf2outpost trade saying I was selling my buds, and I'm pretty lenient with people adding or posting first. So this guy previously "Sitas" added me and said he'd wanted to buy my buds and wanted me to name a price. The buds were basically supposed to be for my friend because he wanted them but then he didnt want them for no particular reason and I paid a bit for it so I named my price $50usd, hesitating towards $48. Before the trade I asked for rep, he said he had none which was why he went first. I thought he was pretty nice and I forgot about telling him to do the no chargeback disclaimer. Sitas said it was fine and he paid me. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to not tell him to do the "No chargebacking" thing in the message of the Paypal transaction, of which he paid fees for (if any). The trade was completed at 7:30ishPM AEST (Australian Eastern Time) and later that night around 11:02PM an email from paypal said that the transaction had been disputed and my 50usd had been frozen. 10 or so minutes later, the case was resolved, with the payment reversed. He has kept my buds and I have since readded him but have not contacted him as he has been offline. I should have been more careful with it. If possible, I'd like my buds back or money even if its $45USD, though if that's not possible at least give him a label and possibly expose his alts.
I don't know if this is possible, but if this guy does resolve this, would it be possible for him to bet let off with some sort of warning? I reckon I'm a nice guy and people who do this but regret it should be given one chance? I don't know if that's tolerated on this community because I can see how people can exploit their "chance" but yeah. If you need to get ahold of me, just email me on [email protected] .
