I just got back today from work to notice that I have been Trade Banned by Steam and marked as a Scammer
on SteamRep (Banned by Valve?). This is the first time anything like this has ever happened and I have no idea why. I'm going to contact Valve after this, but I was wondering (even if I get this resolved with Valve), will this be a permanent mark on SteamRep or will it pass when I get my trading privileges back?

Thank you guys for your help. Any information is crucial to me at this point.

SteamREP is a 3rd party organization with no power over Valve trade bans.

Please contact Steam Support to get this issue resolved.

    Good luck, sir :)!

    So does that mean that...
a.) if I get this resolved with Valve/Steam Support, then the marking will go away?
b.) when the ban passes the marking will go away?

Yes, when Valve removes the trade ban, the red color/marks will automatically go away. Steam Support should be able to help you with that.

If they leave you with a Trade Probation then it will remain as an orange/cautionary status, though.

Thanks Mattie!. Would the same thing happen (the mark being removed) if the trade ban is lifted after the 2 weeks?
This is assuming worst comes to worst and I can't do anything about it.

    Thanks!

After a "Trade Ban" expires you usually are left with a Trade Probation, which will leave an orange caution color on your account to warn people.

    Good luck with Steam Support!
