Hi so this is kind of my first report, and I don't really know how much detail I have to put in my pictures so please let me know what I have to add. Anyway, I posted a trade post on TF2 Outpost and I got a friend request from this guy. He asked if I was buying unusuals and I told him I was looking for offers but yes. So he shows me this Smoking L'Inspecteur with black paint on, and explained to me that people were offering him 1 bud for it, but he'll sell it to me for 17 keys. So I asked him why he doesn't just sell it to them and he replied saying that he doesn't like "highballers". I obviously did not believe him but he told me that I can add a guy who wanted to buy it off him for a bud. It was kind of obvious that the two knew each other already, but he explained that they met a few days ago in a trade server and he wanted the unusual for a bud. I asked him why he didn't get it, and he told me that it was because ChunWei didn't want to sell to a highballer. I asked him why he didn't just offer a lower price, but he didn't reply the question. I accidentally closed ChunWei's friend's chat so I only got the last half screenshotted but I got Chunwei's full screenshot. If you guys need any more additional info please let me know.

I eventually just hinted to him that I wasn't going to accept his offer, and he got pissed at me since we talked for like half an hour. He unfriended me, and I went back to his friend's chat and told him that if I got the unusual from someone else I'll tell him. He realized that ChunWei unfriended me and made up a lie saying that he found someone else in a trade server selling for 15 keys, and to today that I know he still doesn't have the unusual.

All in all, I'm not sure if this is enough evidence that they were trying to fake offers, so I don't know.

This is his "friend that he met a few days ago". He seems to still not have the unusual that he claimed to be buying for 15 keys.

I probably wasn't the first guy they tried to scam, and I definitely won't be the last guy unless I report them. Making fake bidders is a very good way to make an easy profit off of someone and they shouldn't be allowed to do that.
