Couldn't get a screenshot as he immediately blocked me after the trade, but I added all of his friends and he was trying the same thing with them. The scammer adds you and offers the items asked at first, but then fills the screen with trash items of his own and asks for you to add something else, like chests. While you do this, he removes the item you asked for (in my case, Dota 2 Spirit of Calm) and the fact gets hidden with the rest of the trash items. [F.S] Kasra_Paradiise (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198092053457/) was the only one of his friends I caught on time. Our chat conversation was this:



I know I got no screenshots of the scam itself, but all I could get was this information in my inventory history page. The agreement was to trade my Mask of the Mad Harvester for his Spirit of Calm. Then he added those 5 common items, and after that he asked me for 3 Treasures of Rubiline Sheen and removed Spirit of Calm. This is the result.


I wish I could get my mythical item back, but I know how these things work. I just want him to be banned. I don't want anybody else suffering his scams, and I have proof he is still doing that through dota2lounge.com.

Quick update!

This user was eventually banned by Valve.

Though nothing prevents him from creating alt accounts and going on with his scamming spree, it is something. I want to thank everyone involved in SteamRep for making trades a bit safer - both forum moderators and anybody who reports anything. Really, thank you. I feel better now.
