Improper Format Account Got Hijacked!

Somehow the person logged into my account and reset the email id and password. He sold all my items for a cs:go pack. And when he got it, he gave me my password back and went offline. I am not going to log in that account, I want to find his ID address and take action against him.

Just to clarify, you have regained control of your account?
Did/Do your account(s) have Steam guard enabled?

yes i have regained the control of my account but not sure as I did not login or try to login yet. And No my steam guard was not enabled, the person who the scammer traded the items to just told me about it and he is the one who told me to report here too.

What I believe you should do is:

1) Log onto your account and change all your passwords, including the email password you will be using for steam guard.
2) Send a ticket to Valve if you havent done so, verification that your account was hijacked and now secure will be necessary.

3) Once you have received a verification from Valve that your account is secure, read up on how to prevent hijacking.

I'm curious as to how he traded your items out of that account since recently, Steam guard has been required in order to trade.
