I do not think anyone including any of the admins here or anyone with a "donator" or "trusted" tag is free from persecution if they break the law. However, I think you are approaching this the wrong way. The only way to prove anything illegal is to have literally caught him in the act of knowingly trading with a "marked" and "known" scammer. Many of us have traded with scammers and have either not known it or the people became scammers after the fact.

I understand that you truly believe that Diego is laundering items for scammers. You would not carry on like this if you did not feel that you were right. That being said, ignore all the side commentary from people (good and bad) and simply put together the proof needed to prove Diego guilty "without a reasonable doubt". Now from what I understand police, many times have a hard time catching criminals they know to be guilty because they do not have enough evidence and they can not use "speculation" as a reason to arrest and convict someone.

If you believe he is dirty, it is not hard to "phish" him into commiting a crime if you are that bent on condeming him. If he is guilty of what you claim you can catch him in the act, and if he is not, well then speculations will remain just that.

My personal opinion:
Do not go into the lair of the beast and accuse him in front of all his followers and supporters. For their vision may (may being the operative word here, don't wanna hear no self defense flames from anyone) be clouded.

Please don't flame me on the above line. I am just using it as an example for Sergey so he understands in his own point of view who I am talking about and what I mean. I remain undecided on the topic as I see compelling "coincidental" evidence but no proof here to condemn anyone (and I am STRONGLY opposed to scammers as everyone already knows).

One last thing to consider Sergey, you Diego, I and many of the larger volume sellers (people who trade 100 times a day on average) have traded with MANY people who ultimately became or are now tagged scammers. This does not mean that we are guilty of laundering anything. Let's face it, if a scammer needs to dump stolen items fast then they will surely sell to the guy that never says no to buying and we both know that we are all operating with deeper pockets then the average trader so we are easy targets for scammers to trade with because they never have to wait to get a yes on a quick sell off. The end of the day I have bought many backpacks from clean accounts and only later they were scammer tagged. The truth is sometimes I have a hunch too and I have to accept that if they have no scammer friends or are not tagged themselves and are not selling me a $300-400 backpack with less then 100 hours play experience, I have to accept that its possible that they are not scammers and still trade with them. Sometimes my hunches are right and sometimes they are wrong. Such is the nature. I am also sure that MANY scammers came to you to buy games in order to flip the stolen keys / ref to something more useful to them. And since you are easily known as one of the guys who sells games cheap then surely they found you quickly. Just keep that in mind as well.

Ultimately I am saying that you need to pretty much "catch him in the act" for this to be a valid case of any sort. If he is one day caught to be a scammer then people WILL remember this thread but until such a day you have to either let it go or go collect more concrete evidence.

I personally prefer trading with you because you are a clean straight forward business man that has found his niche in this market that works for him. I found mind and am happy with this method (I have tried many including yours).

I spoke to Helen SR a few days ago, and one of the things we spoke about in public on a major site, was the accountability of SR personnel.

Diego's BP is one of the most scrutinized by Valve in the game, and he (or Matti for that matter) did anything untoward and there was evidence to support action, you can be sure they would fry.

Too many people cast aspersions in the game, Longfellowdeeds was tagged for a day or so recently, and all the usual suspects were keen to fling s✿✿✿. Sadly not enough people even bother to read SR rules and guidelines to know how things work, nor posses the ability to put the needed documentation together to make a case.

Enough fishing trips and lynch mobs, either build a case of stfu.

item histories aren't very reliable. They only show someone hat the item if somebody viewed their profile while they had it. There could have been many intermediate item holders. Reps on the other hand are solid proof that somebody traded items for money with a scammer, which is what Jailbait found on your profile.

I'm not going to deny anything, it looks like I did trade with a scammer. I remember buying it on a trade server- it was my first venture in to buying craft numbered items. I actually looked at my trade history, but I couldn't find it in there, neither could I find it in TF2Items. I must say it was a surprise, but it's not like I'm going to check SR before I trade with someone for a 6 ref item on a trade server.
