1) SteamRep ID block pasted from your SR profile. | steamname: andrew | steam3ID: [U:1:57635459] | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:28817729 | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198017901187 | customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/toy205 | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198017901187 2) Are you at least 18 years of age? Timezone and nation of residence? Currently 21 years old, Pacific Time (PT), and United States of America (USA). 3) Please tell us about yourself (job, school, hobbies, etc)? Attending Western Michigan University (WMU), friends/family, and casually playing games/Team Fortress 2 (TF2) trading. 4) Why do you want to become a SteamRep moderator? I've been in the community long enough to see the immediate and long-term negative effects that scammers/sharkers/hijackers can have on the community. This community has made me who I am today, which hopefully sounds good, and I hate to see the negative side of the community control and damage as much as it does. It may be a long-winded response, but it's the reason why I want to help minimize and/or stop the spread of this behavior on the majority of the community through assisting on reports for Steamrep. 5) How much time can you devote to SteamRep per week? Most days I am on the computer and/or periodically check up on various tasks. I can complete/assist most days of the week and will complete/review reports as they are given. 6) Do you have any prior administrative experience, or similar (please elaborate)? I have prior experience in smaller community servers on different games when I was younger. TF2 wise I had a small stint in The Spycrabians server/steam group as an administrator and application handler. 7) What challenges do you foresee if you become a moderator? People say I am too much of a perfectionist and I often have to deal with others jealousy in my work place /s. Jokes aside the biggest challenge would be prejudgements on character for people I interact with. I've been in the community long enough to become slightly jaded in the ways people talk/type. I.E. Age groups, countries, scammers, ect. have a style of typing that typically gives off their intentions. This IS NOT always true to the person, but I would be lying if I said I don't have a preconception of people as I interact with them. 8) Can you accept the fact that you must enforce SteamRep rules and guidelines? Completely and entirely! 9) Do you feel you will have any issues denying / accepting reports and appeals? I shouldn't have any problems with accepting/denying reports and appeals except in judging cases where I may have a personal attachment to the victim/offender since I have made a good amount of relationships over the years, but it shouldn't be a problem as I can contact another staff member to re-designate the case to another neutral staff member. 10) Do you handle instruction and direction well? Yes, any and all instructions will be read fully and followed directly when requested. 11) What do you feel are your personal shortcomings or attributes you can improve on? I am always looking to improve on my short-term thinking and general instinct. It helps a lot in deciding cases with people and I am sure improving on it will help in Steamrep report cases. 12) What contributions do you hope to be able to make? We're especially interested in previous content or experience that shows you can help educate the community on fraud prevention. I hope to help others whenever I can and raise awareness in the community, eventually leaving a lasting positive impression for what I have contributed. 13) Do you have any interest in eventually becoming an SR Admin? If so, what kinds of things would you like to do? I can't say I haven't thought about it, however at the moment I am mostly seeking to help as a moderator. If I had to choose it would be in helping the repeal process and dealing with special cases. Within time I am sure I will know with experience as a moderator and give a more well-thought out response. 14) Please list all alternate Steam accounts using SteamRep ID blocks. | steamname: TF2 Trading Company | steam3ID: [U:1:231683651] | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:115841825 | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198191949379 | customURL: | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198191949379 | steamname: Unknown | steam3ID: [U:1:245355883] | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:122677941 | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198205621611 | customURL: | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198205621611 15) Do you agree to the Code of Conduct and agree to abide by it? Yes. 16) Have you read the Duties of SR Moderators post and understand it? Yes. 17) (If applicable) List Steam trading communities you are / have been active on and in what capacity (user, mod, admin), also give a link to the account(s) there. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tf2spycrabians 18) Do you have any questions? I've raised concern with Tio José das Vacas that it may appear I am looking for title or merit for my account instead of truly wanting to help the community. We reviewed over a couple options and I was told it'd be best to bring the topic forward on my application, so if there is anything I can do/help to dissipate this concern please do not hesitate to ask.
