API Key Request for Google Chrome Extension

    Hi there. As you can already read in the title, I am trying to build a Google Chrome extension that can automatically shows you someone's reputation when you go on their profile. Also, I am trying to do this with a background program on a windows machine too (but that's going to take some time to implement). I would be extremely glad to have access to the API and use it to build this extension in order to keep other people safe from scammers.

    The public API would be all you need for the plugin, and I would imagine it works for single-user Windows clients as well. I've used it for scripts I ran on my own computer on several occasions, and never had any problems with it. https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/steamrep-web-api-beta4-legacy-public.114688/

    However, what you described is already available in another extension called Enhanced Steam. (https://www.enhancedsteam.com/) Is there any particular reason you feel that extension doesn't do the job?
