I have been banned as an "alt account", my account is completely separate to the accused profile and the accused has no access in any way to this steam account.

I can understand that i got a steamrep ban because me and my brother, who was the accused (and by adding the victim and speaking to him it isnt hard to know he did scam him) share the same local ip as a consequence of being in the same household. My brother no longer even lives in the same house as me.

i am an active trader and user of many different third party services which require log-in via steam. since i was banned as a result of actions i never did, i have not been able to use these services as they mostly use steamrep verification.

i am an honest person and a member of many honest trading communities, i infact the past day sold an in-game item to someone from reddit, it all went smoothly and they sent me money first, then they found out i was steamrep banned. i quote they said "why, you dont exactly seem very "scammy""....

i am not a scammer, never have been a scammer, and definitely never will be a scammer. i am honest and have morals. The inability to use many services, especially /r/Globaloffensivetrade and many trading servers is really starting to affect what i do. And i am getting tired of every time i speak to someone new, mainly to trade, i am having to do a preaching session on why theres a red mark next to the name of a nice guy. its very tiresome.

Please can i get the ban removed so i can resume with the same activities i participated in 2 months ago.

i dont know how far you admins go but if there is a way for me to perhaps prove ownership of the different accounts or something i can try my best.​

I don't understand your system, it makes no sense, sharing a connection is a normal thing. I cannot understand how it makes me an alternate account, besides as i have clearly stated we no longer share any connection.

you say you need more info, but i dont understand what info there even is to give.

i hope those answers clear things up, in regards to the third point, i no longer have any connection to other steam accounts in any way possible so therefore no other accounts can be linked to this one.

What i am trying to say is that in the current time, and as of anytime onwards of one month ago onwards, there is no longer any way of linking our accounts together due to the fact that he has moved out.

At the current time, the only thing linking us together is this steamrep ban of which i am disputing.

Well i sure did butcher that first sentence, i'm rather sure you understand what i am saying though.

Moreover i am struggling to understand why i would be banned too simply because my brother is a cun7. its extremely unfair.

I spoke to Lava on steam to suggest the easiest way i can appeal this, i suggested i can show my ID and my brothers ID, simply as verification. Obviously i would like to do it in a disclosed way. i am generally on steam and online from around mid-day to midnight. If an admin wants to contact me i can send the proofs of ID.

There are no other steam accounts within my network owned by any other family members or friends.

Posting back here to try and get a decent response. 4 months and I have had no contact. When you are willing to stain people as you have done me, you should also be willing to deal with appeals at the same pace as the bans. Rather enfuriating.
