    Appeal for BANNED BY SR

    Steam profile: 76561197961275411 (l>1)

Appeal Plea: I committed some of the listed offenses, but not all of them
Appeal Reason: [Change of Heart] I will never scam again.
Victim Repayment: No, but I will repay. I need help finding the victim(s)
Previous Appeals: No, this is my first appeal here

    Alternate Accounts:
    N/a

    Appeal description:
I don't know any rules about the situation and frankly I became very pissed to see that my account is banned and I only noticed it while trying to login to csgolounge and it said "steam rep banned." Let me first by stating that the only thing I have actually done was the deal with Mysterious Bongo Man. And if you check our steam logs with each other, it was actually HIM who tried to scam me first. He was linking me to some kind of URL saying that those items were for sale, but I had noticed that link sent to me before by a friends account who got hacked. Therefore I knew this was a type of scam, and when I seen that, I made the mistake of screwing him over, but I felt that he deserved it. I even included that in all our steam logs. Besides the offense of Mysterious Bongo Man, I have not myself as I own the account ever have impersonated anyone. The reason I was even trusted to receive the keys first was because I had bought keys for a good period of time using the csgo cash rep thread. I don't know all the policies here, but I'm sure if a man tried to scam you, you wouldn't be so happy to just, "let him go." So I let my emotions get the best of me in that scenario.

My cousin had been dealing with family issues and was staying at our place for the past few months and in his boredom while I am at work, I allowed him to use my computer to play on my steam account and play games. I was also taking a break from betting/trading as I thought I was banned. Little did I know that my little cousin was using my over 12 year 6 digit steam ID account to do the other accusations that I had looked over. I suppose that it will be my fault for letting him use my account, but after the beating I gave him, I'm sure he will never use this account EVER again. I am not sure the scenario here, but I am very upset to see my account as being "banned" when I am a very trusted and friendly user in the steam community. I've always loved the game CS, and continue to play. I know the community well and a lot of North American pro players, and the last thing I need is this "banned" message under my name...what can we do here to make things right? My cousin is 16 years old and I doubt he will attempt to payback for anything he has done, but I will try to make things right if possible.

Based on the reports against you, doubt your appeal will be granted. You probably should not have bothered to make an appeal since you are responsible for repayment since you knowingly let another user use your account (that is if it was not you yourself anyhow and pretty much impossible to prove otherwise)

Knowingly let a family member use my account who got greedy when he found out about skins. Forgive me for being so kind to a family member to allow him to play video games while I'm at work, I suppose kindness flies out the window for these situations as I'm sure steam has somewhere in their agreement (that no one reads) that I'm responsible for all actions on my account. Of course I can understand sympathy is out of the question here, but I've been an owner on this account for a very long time and have never had a problem with steam, never cheated or any of those other things. So basically hackers are allowed to buy a new account with no penalty because as long as steam is selling more games who cares, right? It's not about the community or people like me, its simply all about that money. I bet if I put $10k into your bank account you'd remove that ban.

You know how easy it would have been for me to "fake" someone hacking my account and losing all my items while I was supposedly on a 1 month vacation, but no I tell the truth and just get shat on in the face. I don't expect much because of things I have seen in the reports my cousin did, but to simply just tell me there is 0% chance anything can be done on my end I believe is ridiculous. I've never had a problem with steam EVER before this. So I stop gaming for a few weeks, come back and try to make some bets for ESL cologne and realize I can't bet then look more into this info and found my answer. Steamrep volunteer admins, I ain't asking for a freebie here, but allow me to attempt to try to keep my steam account in good standings and fix my cousin's wrongdoings.

I was simply saying in terms of SR and your banned tag, you took on all liability of the account by sharing it and therefor, you are responsible for repayment.
I have had many offers of bribes during my time as SR admin, 10k is is not even 1/2 of what I have been offered (and turned down) since I value my notorious reputation way more then any dollar amount.
Very unlikely that you would have been able to fraudulently appeal by pretending to have been hacked, been doing this for years have seen all the tricks.
Would you rather have me lie like some other admins do? who still say "repayment required" when based on the amount of offenses and circumstances no realistic chance of successfully appealing a banned tag? If so, just make a new appeal and wait for "silent reaper" to reply.
I would have instantly denied your appeal if I were still an SR admin and why I bothered to post to begin with.

Best of luck to you tho, done replying.

Well I suppose I see where you are coming from, and I can see why the rules are they way it is. My point was simply that this is my original steam account I have always owned, and am I supposed to assume my cousin is a little hoodlum who was gonna ruin my reputation? Sure, I'll take the blame for allowing him to use my account its just ridiculous that there is nothing that can be done. Appreciate a real statement rather than what you are calling an admin "lie" however that still does absolutely nothing for me.

My point about bribes and VAC bans, was that this community is just like politics, everyone has their price. The "community" or whatever bullshit you wanna call it is something that steam could care less about. From a business aspect all they care about is keeping money in their pockets. I think steam should implement a way for people to safely trade or prohibit the sale of items in order to prevent scams. That would save you admins a lot more work, but then again no cash flow right? Money money money, f✿✿✿ the community lets be real.

You have continued to scam even after this farce of an appeal attempt. In addition, now with 100% more Valve Trade Ban.

    Denied...
