Appeal description:

I have been banned for scamming a user of his unusual hat. He had given it to me while he was on a break. He had given me the item and told me to try and sell it. Having the item clearly made me want to keep it so that's what I did. I felt pretty bad about it so i got rid of the item. I did not send the item to an alternate account as I do not own more than one steam account. Since the incident I have added the user back and I explained how my intentions meant no harm and I was just caught up in the item itself. It was never my idea at first to steal the item it was only in the moment of getting it I decided to keep it. Like I said, I added the user back and said that I will be attempting to trade back up and repay him (this is quite difficult as I cannot access most trading servers) but I have made some progress. The user is still on my friends list and has yet to respond to my message. It has been a few months since I sent the message and I'm not sure if the user is active anymore. However, I will still be working toward repaying them.

If they do reply, I will be sure to notify them about this thread ASAP.
