    Appeal description:
At the time I was trying to turn a buck doing Dota 2 trades, but the market was weak. Having come from TF2 trading, which was much more robust and developed, I was used to making frequent trades at all value levels. I was very successful and had a great time with TF2 playing and trading and making friends.

Roaring into Dota 2 like it was the same environment was a mistake. I didn't want to be disillusioned even when I started to realize the truth, so I just kept cutting margins and working harder. This led to risky trades which, eventually, got me burned. Whether I get laughed at for this or not, since I have to 'make a case' here, let me vent: Attached picture is me getting f✿✿✿✿✿✿ robbed.

I don't know if it was my fault or my brothers, but shortly after letting him play Dota 2 unsupervised on my PC(he was 16), this happened. I didn't take it out on him, I just went to Steam Support and they refused to restore the items to me.

    TL;DR: Genuine Monarch Bow = $500
    Genuine Demon Shard = $200
Couple of Arcanas & 10 keys = $100 or whatever who cares
+bunch of other dogshit of various value at the time

I didn't know what to do. After a week of tension waiting for Steam to """Support""" me just to be shot down, I lost my cool and lashed out. Of course there's no excuse for filthy behavior but I started to see the Dota 2 trade market as it's own entity and I wanted my pound of flesh back. In a stupid moment of weakness I decided to inflict the same pain I experienced on someone else.

As you can see from my Steamrep, I took a whopping $15 from someone before I woke up and decided to deal with my feelings some other way. Anyway, by the time I found out I was marked as a scammer I didn't give a f✿✿✿ because I had decided I was done trading, it wasn't fun anymore and Dota 2 was more than enough anger all on it's own. This was nine years ago. I was 23. I'm now 33.

My trading losses don't matter to me anymore because I paid all those investments back three-fold through hard work, Dota 2 economy be-damned-and-burn-in-hell. I've had half a dozen jobs and ran two(legitimate) businesses since then. I could have wiped my ass with the $15 ten years ago, it was never about the money, it was emotional. If the guy I scammed comes online and gives me a paypal address I'll send him $20 and a kiss.

So why am I appealing? 'Cause I can't use Scrap.tf.
I reinstalled TF2 after like 8 years and there are a bunch of new weapons I wanna try. Didn't know I was still banned or that I could appeal.

TBH if Steamrep doesn't unban me I'm just gonna make an alt to mule refined for some TF2 weapons. I don't know if I'll ever bother trading """"seriously"""" again, I'm kinda well past that age. I have a job that pays better lmao.

My appeal is also a hand stretched out to the market. If you wanna slap the back of my hand with a ruler and be salty, then fine. The market deserves that chance. It's no one's fault I got scammed but the scammers and mine. But if you wanna shake my hand and let me back in, then cool. The market deserves that chance too.

SR, by policy, does not grant appeals for RWC (real world currency) related offenses.
Additionally, you have not provided any proof of repayment as required for appeals, wanting to use a trading site is not a reason to consider an appeal, saying you don't care as you would tag avoid regardless leaves me little faith you had an actual CoH.

    Denied.
