    Appeal description:
    I scammed Darps (ID64: 76561198105227318) of a gift wrap on October 24, 2015.

    My steam name at the time was "cell phone porn magazine" and Darps' steam name was "Spooky Mr. Wumpywumperson".

    I received the gift wrap from Darps saying I would wrap an untradeable item and send it back. After receiving the gift wrap, I kept the item and said a lot of nasty things after the scam.

    I sent a friend request to Darps on Sept 3rd to attempt repayment. The request was accepted today, Sept 13th, and I offered to repay them with either a gift wrap or any other item of similar value from my backpack and they declined to take the item. Following the last message in our conversation, Darps unfriended me on steam and declined the trade offer. I would still like to repay Darps but I have no way of reaching out.

    I have collected all the screenshots available from the original report thread and from our conversation today. Please note some screenshots are taken by Darps and some are taken by me.

    Hello,
    Why did you say in your repayment chat that the repayment "is for an appeal on the stem rep forums to get rid of my scammer status" and "i'm supposed to pay you back"?
    So far, I have not seen a single indication that you have experienced a true change of heart in this matter, only that you wanted to repay the user so you could get unbanned here.

    I said that in the chat so Darps was aware of everything in the situation.

    I am also hoping that the time from of nearly 7 years since the scam without any other scam activities would exemplify my change of heart.

    I can understand that, but I'm not sure what else I can do to prove something like this is not going to happen again besides showing my willingness to repay the victim and my clean record since the scam.

    If it could help, I do have an Instagram account which I use for selling IRL things which has 27 vouches from people verifying my trustworthiness. I know this is outside of Steam, and likely will not apply, but this is my last idea to prove that I am no longer a scammer.

    After a review, due to the low level of the offense and apparent lack of issues since the original incident, and other mitigating incidences, your tag will be downgraded to a Caution. Please note, further transgressions or if we find you lied to us, may result in you being retagged without the possibility of a new appeal.
    This was an extremely close call for me to make since you even made comments to the person you scammed that "Steamrep wont do s✿✿✿" and at the time, showing them your general carelessness for what you did. I would have been well within my rights to Reject this appeal, and you will not get any benefit of a doubt again going forward.
