Appeal description:

A long time ago when I was pretty young and into tf2 I got an unusual hat. Naive me was quick to jump onto the first offer to buy the hat and by the end of that interaction with a guy pretending to be a trader, I lost the hat. I was devastated and tried talking to Valve support about getting it back (at the time I had chat logs and such), but it never worked out and I didn't get it back. Aside from the Valve support guy, I didn't talk to a single other person (I didn't even know who to go to for help). No one tried reaching out or anything.

Years passed and now I see the caution on my page saying I was ".. not cooperating with Admin investigation in Unusual Scamming (worth $550)". It seems really bazzarre and threw me off guard since I never spoke to anyone aside from the Valve support person for help.

I would love some clarification here. My issue is that the caution is made out to sound like I was the one responsible for scamming even though I was the one with the hat!

I'm sorry for the miscommunication and I appreciate the clarification. I assumed that since my community id was in the url (and my inventory is public) that the history was as well, but oh well.
