Hi Steam Rep admins this is my case.
Going into trading back in October 2012 I really thought to myself how deeply I would involve myself with the community and trading sites. Little did I know it would lead to hours and hours of trading and dollars spent. Around late november I had a couple hundred dollars worth of items and was looking to sell them off for a little extra cash around christmas time.
I met a guy willing to buy pure buds and I talked to him for a bit and he seemed like a genuine person with good interests and a solid rep profile. While I was talking to him I got a person up to trade me a couple pure buds for some of these items. So I thought perfect and invited the two to chat with only a glance at this new persons rep. I suggested a 3 way trade and they all agreed upon it. I don't know exactly what happened between the two individuals but the original trader with good rep ended the trade and reported myself and the other trader. I did try and talk to AcesGamer(Don't know if he still goes by that name) and he was always busy or our time zones contradicted to a considerable extent. WE did talk although nothing was noted in the thread which I find odd. Nothing was traded overall and you can see, in the screenshots that I have linked, that there is no solid evidence that I did anything to aid the "scam" and always wanted for everyone to get what they wanted. I did nothing wrong thinking I was just making a decent trade. This other person that was being a fake middleman was added to my friendslist minutes before I added him to this chat which also proves I had no previous contact with him and wasn't conspiring against the genuine buyer. I do find it odd that the person with good steam rep "egged" me on trying to get me to trade with the scammer aswell knowing he had bad steam rep.
To make a long story short...I am appealing almost a year and a half after my ban because I believe having myself flagged as a scammer is unneccessisary although I admit to trying to set the trade up and it would be my fault if something was taken without repayment in the trade between the other two. I have taken around a year off of gaming in general and have just begun to play CS GO again. If you have any questions or want to do a 1 on 1 interview I am willing and ready to do one. EDIT: I believe I am innocent although I can see the reasoning behind marking me as a scammer even though it seems exaggerated.

Okay a further explanation of what happened.
Background: I met both of these people the day of the trade and had no previous or further contact with either one
Person A(Allensgamer): Wants to sell his unusual hat, good steam rep and the one that reported the case
Person B(BlueDemon): Wants to buy BMOC's which I have.
Going to put it in the simplest terms.
It all began when I wanted to buy a purple energy slug from person A. I gave that person an offer for 4 BMOC's which was approx. what person A wanted however he was worried that he couldn't sell them for the current price they were going for. Of course at this point I've gotten different offers to sell my BMOC's because I was on a trade server and the items were very high demand at that time. This is when I found person B wanting to buy the BMOC's for cash and I thought perfect I can refer person A to person B after we complete the trade and this will reassure person A that he could indeed sell them for the current price. At this point Allen reported myself and person B. Any other details you would like me to go over ?

Again I want to emphasize that nothing was traded and I have reviewed almost all of the ToS, and I believe I have not violated any rule directly

1. I am almost 100% sure I found the impersonator on TF2-TRADER.COM UNUSUALSERVER #1 (74.63.77.210), although it was a year and a half ago but that was a server I frequented.
2. I did check him out and his profile at the time had 5-6 pages of rep and he linked a steamrep page which verified him as having good rep.
3. I was a competent trader at the time but I was young, I wasn't perfect and didn't back track his page that he linked me.
4. I do not have chat logs between myself and the impersonator because it was a year and a half ago. Does valve store them? I could potentially contact valve customer service.
Although that person was an impersonator/fake middleman, I didn't have any knowledge of it and Allen after he realized didn't even tell me.

Just wondering if you have an update on this appeal process?

Its been 3 weeks since my initial post, again just wondering if you can give me any type of update?
