Appeal description:

To start with, I've attempted to scam users on a TF2 idling server by impersonating a trading bot a few years ago. I only did it a a few times, I was still immature and dull. I didn't think about the harm I would cause to other players on that server. No-one believed I was the bot actually, I meant it as a joke but I understand now it was a serious thing. This is my first time this happenened, I haven't scammed anyone in Steam ever. I'm very loyal Steam user and attempting to scam other users is wrong, I totally understand that. I apologize to the users that I attempted to scam and to the Steamrep admin(s) that had to spend their time here. Thanks for reading my appeal, I hope you will consider unbanning me as I promise you will never see me back on the unban section again, I have totally changed.

I'm unsure about which part is still unclear for you, but i'll try to write up the whole story here as best as I can remember.

When I committed this crime, I was on a TF2 StatTrak farming server. There was a way to buy some kind of perks by giving scrap metal or other valuable skins to a trading bot. I then decided to use the trading bot's name on my own account and traded a few users thinking they'd give me some items, but I think it's safe to say I was too obvious and ended up getting laughed at by the other players and someone who got triggered decided to report me to SteamRep forums. It's been over 4 years since this incident happened and as we all know, people change over time.

I did some digging and found some other accounts I previously had access to but no longer do.

The profile is private and I don't know the account login information so I'll be unable to change that. The account owns garry's mod, nothing else.

Yea it might be, you're right.

I acknowledge that there are possibly hundreds of others waiting for their cases to get dealt with. I'd just be happy if I got my offence removed at some point since it was very minor and a lesson was learned that day.

I just feel like it's not really fair to make me hold this never-expiring offence due to something silly I did when I was much younger. That's the reason why children don't get a criminal record for stealing from a shop when they're still considered underage. Children usually don't think or care about the consequences that will haunt them later in life.

I wouldn't be here now if I didn't try to correct the mistake I did back in the day. I'd do anything just to get a clean record at this point.
