I made a second steam account on my computer for my older brother, but I have absolutely no idea what the login is. I made this many years ago, and he doesn't live with me anymore.​

Hi there,

I know I tried this almost a decade ago, but I wanted to try again. I've grown a lot as a person since.

I was in a raffle group, and there was a moderator who was using the old steam groupchat system to raffle off a Strange L'etranger. After being a very annoying person in the steam chat, I changed my name to the winner's name and messaged the guy, who instantly reported me to steamrep. I was 13 years old.

I didn't really understand the impact of it at the time. I did know that it blocked me from using websites like TF2Warehouse, which no longer existed anymore, and that I had people remove me on steam for having the marking.

Later, I tried to appeal on steamrep, but the ban appeal I submitted for Steamrep happened when I was maybe 14?, so I didn't make any sort of convincing argument. You only get one chance to appeal and then you're marked forever.

The admin who reported me has long-been kicked out of the Steamrep community for stealing glitched Vintage Earbuds. Went by the name of "Ty An Wobbi" and after getting away from TF2, I'm not sure if his account even exists anymore.

In any case, this Steamrep Scammer marking was put on my account about a decade ago. I haven't been involved with trading for a very long time, and I still don't have any intention of being a part of that community again.

Being marked as a SCAMMER prevents me from joining servers that may have nothing to do with trading. A number of servers instantly ban you if you have the SCAMMER tag on your profile. This is increasingly becoming an issue with casual servers being flooded with bots- putting a noticeable limit on the servers that I am able to join. I am also unable to use some websites to spend my own money on TF2 items- again, I'm not trying to trade, I just want to buy my own items for my enjoyment.

I've grown a lot as a person since then. I'm a degreed adult with a full time job in my city. To this day I'm still obsessed with TF2, having racked up over 6,000 hours. I've played a part on a few competitive teams, been a part of more communities than I can list, and made lifelong irl friends through the twelve and a half years that I've played this game.

I regret what I did. I was a young teenager at the time, with no sense of decorum. I apologize greatly for my actions. I want to move past it. I hope you can understand.​
