    Appeal description:
This is my first appeal here, so I'll try to make it worthwhile.

Hi. I'm Mille. I recently found out last week about my steamrep caution, and until yesterday I did not know that I could appeal my caution tag. So I'm deciding to do that now.

I want to start by explaining the situation of the problem that got me cautioned. A few months ago, I was looking to buy a clean burning flamenco. I was asking my friends if they knew anyone, and somewhere along the line Unusual Chicken Dinner popped up. I looked at his steam profile and he seemed reputable enough, so I decided to add him. I did not check his steamrep or tf2outpost, which was a shame because if I had checked I would not have traded with him. This was an error on my part which has never happened since then. I have always checked profiles before trading with people.

I decided to trade my hellfire hong kong cone for my flamenco, and I was happy. However, 4 months ago, a prospective buyer of my flamenco added me to talk about me possibly selling my flamenco. He decided to let me know that my hat had scammer history, and needless to say I was surprised. He said I was a scammer for knowingly buying the hat from Unusual Chicken Dinner.

The only problem I have with this statement is that it simply is not true. I did not knowingly trade with a scammer because I assumed that Unusual Chicken Dinner was not a scammer from his steam profile. Again, this was a mistake on my part that has not happened since then. I was trading late at night and my thought capacity was not very high at 2 am in the morning.

I got angry at the prospective buyer because he was being very condescending and calling me a scammer, so I said some very immature things which I apologize for and take back. Some of the things I said were "I don't care if he was a scammer"
    "I don't care about that s✿✿✿"
    "That's why I didn't check"
    "I don't use SteamREP"
"I don't follow their cunty rules"
"I don't care about Outpost anymore"

Please remember that I was very angry at 2 am in the morning, so the things I said do not reflect what I actually believe. The buyer kept on reminding me to check steamrep and tf2outpost, and I got really annoyed because even when I said that I would check in the future, he kept on trying to nail that point in. While it is true that I had never used steamrep before the conversation, I did care about outpost and I did worry that my hat had scammer history, and that unusual chicken dinner was a scammer. Again, I am sorry for saying such things.

The next incident that happened was about 2-3 months ago, when a user by the name of Parsec added me to buy the flamenco. I made sure to state that it had scammer history, but he did not seem to care. His offer was a cloudy flamenco + 2 buds, and I willingly took him on his offer. Parsec at the time was a very reputable trader with a wealthy backpack, and he was backed by ian dukeman and ttt strife, who were (and still are I think, I haven't traded for a while) high profile traders. I thought he was very reputable because at the time he was. So, I took him on his offer.

However, a couple days to a week later (sorry for not remembering dates exactly, I do not have perfect memory) Parsec was banned on tf2outpost for being an alt of Moose, one of the biggest scammers at the time. Needless to say I was frustrated at my luck, because again I had unknowingly traded with a scammer.

I am appealing my tag because I feel that I did not knowingly trade with a scammer, and that both of these trades were either due simply to not checking tf2outpost or steamrep (I will not make this mistake in the future), or simply checking a user's profile to see that they are clean, and then them getting banned. Please read through my appeal. I am sorry that I have no screenshots, at the time I was not being cautious with trading and I did not take screenshots. Now of course, my policy has changed and I take screenshots with users.

If you appeal me, I can guarantee you that I will check the profiles of new added steam users to make sure that they are not scammers.
