Hi I am TrueLunar https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198069820369 I am contacting today to report my real life brothers account https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198267248436 as stolen. I am the one writing today as he is 12 and is not very literate so I will be filling out his appeal on his behalf. The first Reputation thread is of the original ban report and the second was my attempt to get him unbanned when i logged in from my computer and steam and not his as we didn't have his account back at the time.

On the account you can find the following:

He was hacked after his credentials were stolen by "A very real looking valve employee by the name of steamadmin" who then added him with an account known as "Item Database" https://steamrep.com/search?q=76561198860998474 . As he has never dealt in scams and is unfamiliar and uneducated (and disregarded my teaching as scolding and trying to ruin his fun) he fell for the "Duped Item Verification Scam".

At 00:11 you can see his account being listed as banned by SR https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198267248436?t=1544746309 and you can see him removing all of his friends including me https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198069820369 , and our two real life friends, these include falsely listed as alt Rusian https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198148533914 and other friend

Uploaded will be 3 images called "Email 1, Email 2, and Email 3" which are photographs i took of the phone he had linked showing his account info being changed. I did so as to provide proof that can be proved to not be faked.

Email 1.jpg even list the IP address used in changing his account list here https://tools.tracemyip.org/lookup/175.158.226.52 as being in the Philippines which is highly false as we live in Virginia, USA.

Other things of note:
Valve have recently regained access to the account but did not reset any changes as such only this morning did we remove the mass blockage and put a message in his bio detailing the situation.

The account Rusian https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198148533914 Is falsely listed as an alt. This is a friend in real life and even in the original post https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report.186945/ is listed not once. My best guess was the similarity to the name "Ｒｕｉ" as my friend is named "(FC}Rusian" and had memed his account recently saying he was from Guiana from a joke we had when playing games a while back. He has such fixed it to look a bit less like a scam account. I am aware his unban appeal would need to be done by him but as he was listed as this accounts alt (which is untrue) i would like to clarify that he is in no way an alt or had any involvement with any of the situation.​

As my brother is away at a friends with his laptop and i can't access his laptop to log in like i did to make that post for him, I hope you don't mind me explaining with this account (would be me writing regardless).

What happened was when the "steam admin" he fell for contacted him I had just helped him remove the authinticator from his mom's phone so we could put it onto his. Turned out his phone was dead so we let it charged and later we just kinda forgot about it. (Which i take full responsibility for even though i suffer from brain problems with memory). As such that night he got contacted he had no phone tied to his account and fell for the scam which likely would not have worked if his account was in this vulnerable state. As such being the naive 12 year old he is he fell for the scam and got his account hacked and never told anyone till recently, about a few hours before i posted the first post https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/appeal-76561198267248436-Ｒｕｉ-banned-by-sr.187136/ .

So it was a mix of naivete on his part, forgetfulness on my part, and overall was the perfect combination of ways to have this happen. I sincerely hope me posting this is valid enough as i can't unfortunately log in as him to post this (which likely would just be a copy paste under his account) and we have no screenshots or photos to prove it. I am doing the writing as he is not the most literate of people and suffers from a communication impairment and difficulty typing which if you look at the report made when his account was hacked https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561198267248436-tf2-team-fortress-2-items.186946/ , these 3 images show the hacker using language far out of what my brother is capable of speaking

Unfortunately i don't have any logs of me communicating with my brother using his actual way of communicating as being blocked by the hacker wiped those as far as i can tell and we usually avoid him trying to type in the first place.

We are deeply sorry for the trouble the hacker caused under his account and have done all we could to make up for it. Luckily no one full for them so no item transfers were made I am aware of and we removed by hand all 300+ messages the hacker left on various posts, images, and reviews on steam yesterday to not sully his name now that we recovered the account. We have also added a notification both on his profile, display, and comments about the situation in an attempt to inform people and that we will not so much as add as a friend anyone he does not know in real life until he has grown up and matured enough to make rational decisions on his own.
