Appeal description:

I cannot submit the report on the main because I don't have access to that account anymore, I've simply lost/forgotten the login. I made that account when I was 12 and I am now 22 years old.

This will now be my second attempt to appeal my SR ban that was placed on my account over 4 years ago. I am going to be 100% honest and meaningful in my appeal here as I have nothing to hide anymore or lose and I am trying to clear this whole mess up.

First I would like to apologize for any inconvenience I have caused. I am definitely not the same person I was and I will do my best to prove it. I am not too happy with the few things I have done in my past as I am trying to fix things and don't want to dwell on my past.

TF2 trading was a staple in my teenage years as TF2 was my everyday game and it was what I did for fun. Out of the thousands of trades done, literally, only 2 were bad intent. I was a big unusual trader back in the day. Before my steamrep ban, I was a very active trader, trading items from 0$-1000$. I did eventually cash out of the game and I was 14 at the time when I cashed out 1k to my mother's PayPal, something I won't ever forget. I was reputable at this point and I enjoyed trading and the community as a whole. I even still trade little by little with what I can the very few rare times I play tf2 or even go on steam which is only once or twice a month now.

I have just finished college and now I am home full time so I have some free time to play some games and recently got back into tf2 a little. As I said before I am an adult now and don't have the time to really game like I was able to, I have bills to pay and a whole life ahead of me.

Because I am slowly getting back into the game I understand I can play the game even with a Steamrep ban but it blocks my ability to play most custom game servers (which I mainly like to play) and use websites like mp.tf and bp.tf (for trading). In my point of view, I am very limited to what I can play and what websites I can trade and use because of my ban. I understand there are rules set in place but it is not exciting to play tf2 anymore because of my ban. I am literally limited to what I can do on the game. I understand what I did in the past was wrong and I accepted my ban but I don't think it's fair to keep penalizing someone for this long when they have changed and grown-up.

I have also gotten my brothers dragged into this which they were never happy about. Because of my actions, they were also limited on tf2. I can prove that these are my brothers and can hop in a discord call or prove some other way that those arent my accounts. By appealing this ban, I hope to have my brothers' rep cleared as they never did anything besides be under the same IP as me.

Now I will explain the two reports that got me banned in the first place. I will explain both situations to the best of my ability as these were years ago and I don't have such a perfect memory of them.

The first report was for an unusual. Yes, I did scam the person who had it but literally after the 7-day trade hold was up, I sent it back to the user because of the enormous guilt I had. Who am I to take someone else hard-earned goods? I couldn't live with the guilt of stealing from someone else so I had to return it.

The second report was for an attempted item scam, as no trade was completed. I believe I tried to buy his unusual hat for cash but It didn't get any further than that. This is really all I remember from this, truthfully.

In conclusion from both reports, nothing was kept or stolen, everything was returned and nothing of this nature will ever happen again as I have no intention or need to scam. I am much older now from when I committed these horrible acts, and now I am more responsible and have more at my disposal to buy and trade with so scamming isn't even a thought on my mind anymore.

In all, from these reports, I have only received negative feedback from other users. For instance, nobody wants to trade with someone who is a marked scammer because it can get them into trouble. But for example, I have an unusual worth 20 keys ($40) and I have been trying to sell it for a few weeks now. Everyone who I send a trade offer or talk to just tells me this, "I don't trade with marked scammers lol". It seems like I am being made fun of all the time and it doesn't sit well with me anymore because that's not the person I am anymore. I feel terrible inside that people don't want to even talk to me because of my tag. In the beginning, I didn't care as much about my ban but now it is taking a toll on me.

This game really was a staple in my childhood, as I played this game so much instead of doing other quality things in life that I should have been doing. I will never forget the countless times I was told to get off the game but I never wanted to because of the love I had for TF2. My teenage years heavily revolved around this game, some could say it was an unhealthy habit. Heck, I still play MvM every time I get the chance to, even though I know I won't get any good loots, it is one of the only ways I can still support the game which I care about. My point I'm trying to make is that I really do care about this game even though I don't play as much and the player count has dramatically slowed down, it still has a place in my heart and it will forever, I simply can't forget about this game. I am making this report because I still care about this game and the people that play it, more than I should.

I understand the severity of my actions and I understand there are repercussions for the actions I did. I truly am sorry and I hope you people at steamrep understand my situation and help dig me out of this huge mess I have created. I am 100% not the same person I was 5 years ago and I hope you can understand that. I barely have time to game as is, so I literally have 0 intentions of scamming or doing any other untrustworthy acts. If there is anything I can do or someone I can talk to personally about this case, I don't mind. Throughout this whole report, I was 100% honest as I have nothing to hide or lose.

I am truly sorry for my past actions and I hope you understand. I am trying to get back into the tf2 community which I still love and cherish even though I barely play it. I am just trying to do the right thing and be a good person.​
