Attached below of the trade chat (tradescammer photos 1 and 2 may not be entirely useful. tradescammer 3 is, it's where he admits to not telling me about gifted buds as indicated by the "fine"). Also photos in trade of the gifted buds.

Description:
"JakeTheSnake" (I guess he really lives up to that name) added me today asking to buy my Green Confetti Mullet. I said sure, I love making sales, and I traded him. He didn't put anything in at first and offered in the trade chat 1 bud + a festive sticky. I declined and then he said he would take my Steaming Mullet instead for just the 1 bud (NEVER mentioning that it was gifted). He asks if I can add a craft hat (sorta alerted me something might be fishy) before adding the bud and immediately readying up. I, as I always do, check the buds and what do ya know? They're gifted. I kind of sit there for a second contemplating what to do and taking screenshots (that's why he says "hello" in trade). I ask him to add a funny amount of sweets in order to stall for more time. I eventually confront him about the gifted buds in an indirect way and he admits to not ever telling me about their "gifted" quality (indicated by "fine"). Later, he deletes me and I block him. He is currently trying to sell the gifted buds on his outpost.
I know this might not be the strongest case ever, but what he attempted to do was indeed scam me. If I had not been warned time and time again to be cautious by the good people over on /r/tf2trade, I would've been scammed. He deserves to be punished for such a deceitful and and disgraceful action.
