Invalid Can I get my hat back? plz, hear me out

I know this isnt the forum page where this is supposed to be but, I've been scammed and the scammer HAS been banned but I havnt provided proof that it was a painted bills hat. so can I give you proof and can I get my hat back? thx :3
P.s I found out he's on probation? why?

Unfortunately, nobody here works for valve, so we are unable to retrieve stolen items. Also, if you did go to valve, and informed them that you were infact scammed, and even if you provided proof that you lost your bills, they would give you their generic "You screwed up, don't do it again, we can't give you your stuff back." message. Sorry about your loss, hopefully you learned your lesson!

Sucks to hear it but that's all you can do.

Valve doesn't give back items that were stolen, just be more careful next time.
