Hello. I was just trying to post a trade up on Bazaar.tf, also the first time I have bothered using a trading website since many months ago when I got phished by some dude. As soon as I hit the button that said "Sign in with Steam" It told me I couldn't use Bazaar.tf because I am steamrep banned. I nearly had a heart attack when I read this because in general I take my steamrep reputation seriously, but haven't actually looked at it in a very long time.

Anyhow, A fellow by the forum handle of Saul Goodman posted a thread about how the person in possession of my account some time in April this year, was trying to get him to go to a website which appears to be a phishing scam based on his screenshot. I find this kind of funny because that is the same link I initially followed prior to that, which got my account swiftly stolen. I'll start off my actual appeal by saying this: That sure as hell wasn't me who tried to phish him. Obviously my word is practically irrelevant when appealing, but that is the fact.

Now here's what actually happened: some time in April 2013, probably the exact same day I got phished because Valve reclaimed my account very quickly, I was selling an unusual hat on the tf2 outpost, when somebody posted a pretty convincing offer that was quite a bit over what I was trying to sell my hat for, but was just enough to make me bite and add him to my friends list. He sent me a link to his steam backpack in URL form, so I typed it into my browser really quickly. It was a really convincing fake, with dead accurate panels and all. It was called "steamcommuunity.com" or something along those lines. Either way, in my hyper mood I signed right in, typed in my steam guard, and then got logged out of steam immediately, suddenly realizing that the site was not HTTP secured, and somebody stole my account. Right after that I contacted valve, and it took them 2 weeks to give me my account back, but I got it back and nothing was different, i.e. there was no missing items or names or anything, I guess the guy or bot or what have you was just using my account as a pawn to spam more people phishing links through steam. I obviously can't be certain of that because I didn't have possession of my account, but that's what it seems like according to my steamrep ban.

That's how the whole thing went down, It was a long time ago, so I'm not sure what evidence I would need to provide at this point, or if it is still obtainable, but I would really appreciate it if I could get an appeal, or an admin to assist me in acquiring evidence for an appeal, because It obviously wasn't me trying to use poor English and sketchy links to bait people into a phish.

    Thanks.

Add on post, since I just noticed that my post appeal got moved to the "Account Hijacking Appeals" section, and that there are specific rules for this, here is my chat log with steam support which led to my account recovery, and my trade log during the hijacking. You'll notice that there were no trades happening during this period, because I guess the guy stole my account for the sole purpose of trying to phish more people, so my items were fine. Steam support didn't hassle me and solved my problem in one post.

Also, since the space between my first trade post hijacking on may 16th and april 27th was so large I had to take 2 seperate screenshots, it may appear to just crop out any actual trading that may have happened, so I'm including this screenshot of the space in between for proof.
