    as far as I remember, member ranks in XenForo depends on trophy points not on the number of messages you posted, each forum can set up the number as they want so I'm not sure what's it like on SR

    Member - 5+ points
    Active Member - 20+ points
    Well-Known Member - 48+ points

    but again, I'm not sure how it's set up on SR

    "Ranks" mean absolutely nothing at all. If it were upto me, I would disable ranks since they seem to be a distraction as this (and past threads) have shown. They have zero bearing on anything at all that SR is involved in. Its simply a post count thing, and to a degree because of that, promote shitpostings as users try to "rank up" by submitting useless posts and distracts staff from doing "actual" work.
