New "Hurt Feelings" report (April Fool's 2017)

April Fool's!

Thank you to all who participated in this year's April Fool's Day joke. A few people unfortunately appeared to take the joke literally, and fail to recognize the April Fool's custom, so to anyone confused, no we do not mark, punish, or ban anyone over hurt feelings or petty disputes, and we never will. A large part of the inspiration for this joke was that very confusion over what SteamRep does, and some of the ridiculous reports we repeatedly receive and reject.

For those who participated, your reports will be maintained, but moving forward will require a login so they don't inadvertently show up in a search engine's cache or get used against you. It was fun, but the custom title and status on your SteamRep profile will be taken down because it's really outside our investigative policy. The forum won't be listed, but you can find it here.

For those who missed it, here's a quick rundown:

• We received a total of 43 reports, which you can read here:

• Anyone submitting a hurt feelings report was redirected here:https://forums.steamrep.com/pages/aprilfools
• After submission, the next time a reporter logged in, their forum profile would be flagged as a "crybaby". This recolored their username to pink, gave a "Confirmed Crybaby" title in the forums, and displayed a notice at the top of the forums informing them their report was accepted with a link to all hurt feelings reports, and instruct them to check their SteamRep profile for more information.
• Finally, reporters would have "whiny complaints" added and tallied on their SteamRep profile with a pacifier in place of the shield, very similar to "unconfirmed reports" for actual scam reports before an admin reviews them.
