    Proven scammers or people advertising such activities are banned from chat, discussions and then kicked from the group all together, this goes for members of our group who happen to be marked as scammers on SteamRep.com - known scammers marked by members of our team are collected in a special thread with the users SteamRep link and evidence of scam to warn our members from trading with such individuals.

    7. Why does your community wish to exchange banners and become a Friend of SteamRep?

    Now that OP Trading is up with the top trading groups on Steam in regards to member count, we want to show our members how serious we are about protecting them should they wish to trade in our community. Being associated with SteamRep is the first step to having better control over the safety of our members and should only help to repel scammers looking for a cheap gain. Also SteamRep kicks ass and is a god send to all us traders.

    We have a mirror thread at our Giveaway group that gets a lot more attention, with over 50 pages of reports (sadly in our admin section so I cannot provide a link, although I can provide a screenshot if desired). Our Trading group doesn't get near as many offending users as our giveaway group, which is surprising to us.

    The community 'Opium Pulses' started as a gaming clan in 2002 and only joined Steam in early 2012. We've grown in to a much bigger community and offer giveaway, trading, deal finding and gaming event services on Steam across our 4 main groups. In total our Steam groups combine to around 26,000 members and has a very loyal, blooming and regular fanbase in our giveaway group's chat (our most popular group, at 10,000 members, is considered our home group by many of the regulars). We wish to release our own branded game bundle within the year and have recently formed a partnership with popular gaming site SteamGameSwap.com to integrate a better system for our giveaways.

    Sorry, I submitted this in October 2013. I've been extremely patient and tried to be as understanding as I could during your busy months but I feel kinda like we're being ignored now. Please could I get some sort of update on where I stand at the very least? I've seen applications put in much later after mine getting quick responses.

    Thanks for getting back to me, didn't think I'd see the day haha.

    As the staff group contains people who help our community in various ways on various sites and groups I can't see why members who aren't involved in our trading branches should be of concern? Sgt Fopper is just a reporter at our news group and digitalTribe is a chat moderator at our giveaways group, both completely unrelated to trading. But I can see why there should be some concern, so I'm willing to comply.

    I'm currently speaking to the staff who have scammers on their friends list, hopefully can get it down to a more acceptable level.

    Adrian said he's happy to make his profile public for you to view but would rather keep it private to keep his personal life friends from mixing with his online friends. Which I think is an acceptable reason.

    digitalTribe has been explaining to me the details of the unconfirmed scam report, our chat log is below:

    20:03 - SlipSlot: Give me a summary of what happened from start to finish that I can paste on their forums so they understand the situation a little better. In the meantime, speaking to the person who made the report and solving the situation so he will remove the report would be good.
    20:08 - digitalTribe: The seller got the money the next day after that report, Initially made a mistake and paid from a bank account that I shouldn't have, he refused to send me back the money and take the keys. After that I made a charge back and paid him via Skrill. I have the payment proof and I will also try to contact him.

    digitalTribe should post any counter-evidence on the report, as well as contact the victim and ask them to post stating it's resolved. Then I can clear the report.

    I am sincerely sorry for the amount of time it took to give you an official response. The staff members who were responsible for your application are no longer with us, and that caught your application in a limbo state right before it was about to be processed.

    From the staff notes investigating your community at the time, a background check of your staff had unfavorable results, leading several of our admins to vote against your application, at least one of which is still on staff. As such, we have decided against accepting your community. I'm sorry it took so long just to give you that answer, your application should've been closed out a year ago.
