This guy here obtained a craft#1 Double-Cross Comm by "Sharking/Phishing" it off of TBG™| ๖ۣۜFantoma who was obviously new to the game. I have a picture of the chat where he admits getting it for a gold-painted beret here:

He is working with someone else to sell said item on TF2Outpost, as I have a screenshot of him saying so, and the trade link.

Personally I find this completely wrong, that he would take advantage of someone who is so new to the trade system. I'll try to provide any more evidence that is requested, thank you.

Sorry, I'm pretty sure this sounds like a SHARK, not a Phish attempt. Phishing is attempting to hack the trader by a trojan, virus, or controlling software getting them the item.

Sharking is when someone (Even new to trading) gets ripped off by the buyer, being given something small in return for something big, with the other person thinking it's worth a different value.

According to the tagging rules, I'm pretty sure they can't be tagged! Although, best of luck to you.

The Post title is misleading, this is not a Phish, but in fact a shark.

If anyone who has the ability to remove this comes across it, you can go ahead and remove it, as I put a misleading title and should've looked into it more. Otherwise consider this a outdated thread I guess :p

I know UTC has a shark report thread, but I'm not sure if it covers non-unusual items.
