I have a picture of the chat where he admits getting it for a gold-painted beret here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=xbojk&s=6 His Steam ID info: steamID: ๖ۣۜBlack steamID32: STEAM_0:1:25245875 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010757479 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/MrJustAGuy steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198010757479 He is working with someone else to sell said item on TF2Outpost, as I have a screenshot of him saying so, and the trade link. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=69gmfc&s=6 And http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/2931595 His Steam ID Info: steamID: HalfSwift steamID32: STEAM_0:1:43155068 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198046575865 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Halfswift steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198046575865 Personally I find this completely wrong, that he would take advantage of someone who is so new to the trade system. I'll try to provide any more evidence that is requested, thank you.
Sorry, I'm pretty sure this sounds like a SHARK, not a Phish attempt. Phishing is attempting to hack the trader by a trojan, virus, or controlling software getting them the item. Sharking is when someone (Even new to trading) gets ripped off by the buyer, being given something small in return for something big, with the other person thinking it's worth a different value. According to the tagging rules, I'm pretty sure they can't be tagged! Although, best of luck to you. The Post title is misleading, this is not a Phish, but in fact a shark.
Oh.. Darn, sorry, shoulda read into it a bit more then. There anyway I could remove this thread perhaps?
If anyone who has the ability to remove this comes across it, you can go ahead and remove it, as I put a misleading title and should've looked into it more. Otherwise consider this a outdated thread I guess
