What happened? Description:

I was talking to this player for several days and he came across as legitimate. 9 years on steam, never any reports or anything. Originally I wanted to have him send money then I sent him the item, but due to my on negligence, trusted him and I sent the item first. He gave me a separate steam account as a "guarantee" but then quickly went offline as soon as I sent the item.​

Also give your trading history, and if possible, more of the chat.

I'm not actually sure if the category i listed it under was correct for this scam. It involved paypal, but no money was ever sent. He took the item and went offline. I don't really have a trading history. I unboxed this item randomly after not doing any trading on CS:GO. I used to trade on TF2, but I don't anymore and haven't for years. I just wanted to make some free money. I apologize if the category was wrong, I haven't had to do this before.
