What happened? Description:

This guy asked me for a trade for knife and some skins, and he asked me to trade to one of my friends to verify its marketability. I traded to my good friend IRL , went to his profile from my steam friends list and traded with him. The second I approved the trade by steam guard, the trade was accepted and my items ended up not with my friend, but with a level 0 account that isnt my friend and i dont know where this account came from.​

What happened was that this guy offered to trade my knife and 2 skins with him, and before trading, asked me to send a trade offer to any one of my friends to verify its marketability. however the minute i verified this trade it was accepted and my items were gone to a level 0 steam account i had never seen before and certainly am not a friend of.​

Hi, I did not realise because I have never done trading before, thats why I did not check it out. A mistake on my part and probably stupid to do so.

He told me to send a random friend, any of my steam friends a sample trade, thus I chose this guy called "Timberw0lf"

My friend's name is Timberw0lf, I will attach the screenshot when it initially said that it was his name and picture that I sent it to.
Ps. I tried to cancel the trade immediately but it did not even work, and I did not even send it to "Misaki" which I never seen before.

I did not give the accused my friend's username. His instructions were to send a sample trade to ANYONE of my friends, and I picked one of my most trustable friends right there and then. He had no knowledge of who I was sending said sample trade to, as the recipient didnt matter according to him he just wanted to see a sample trade and a screenshot of it. The accused would not have known which one of my 100+ friends I would have picked, which makes this all the more stranger given it is nearly impossible to create a clone account since he would not know.
