    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561197963141354

    Victim profile: 76561198218879819

    What happened? Description:
This random person called "Quinton" added me on steam, saying and trying to scare me saying that he accidentally reported my account for duplicated items, and that I would get banned in an hour if I did not talk to a steam "admin" to tell him I'm innocent. Added the "admin", who already had 2 SR bans, said I had to verify my items through a steam bot, by trading all my strange items for verification, saying it wont take long, then attempting to threaten me when I refused.

    Provide Evidence:
Provided full screenshots of both scammers profiles, steam chats, and links they sent me, as well as the fake verify bot that they told me to trade with.

    THE FIRST SCAMMER (INITIATOR);
    | steamname: Quinton
    | steam3ID: [U:1:2875626]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:0:1437813

THE SECOND SCAMMER (FAKE STEAM "ADMIN")
    | steamname: iCAMP™
    | steam3ID: [U:1:397472605]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:198736302

    THE FAKE VERIFICATION BOT
    | steamname: Program Database Cheker™
    | steam3ID: [U:1:909238176]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:0:454619088

The first scammer who is not banned as of yet, is most likely a co-conspirator or alt account of the second scammer "iCamp", including the bot as well. I think that he should also be held responsible and on account to help a scam occur.

They also gave me these 2 lovely links, which show fake threats of them hovering over a deletion button lol.

I'll review this soon - nothing else needed at this time.
I do however need to advise that you may want to look at what is attracting this issue towards you - you've submitted a few reports here and its a trend we would like to see you avoid.
Perhaps have users comment on your profile prior to accepting them so you know what they want in the future.

I normally accept adds and generally ask their reasoning for adding me; I've had legitimate traders and trading occur through this way.
Only the suspicious or fraudulent profiles I continue about.
Perhaps it's because of some high value items I have in my inventory? Is there something against making frequent reports on actual scammers?
Anyway, I'll add the "comment on my profile" rule from now on, thanks for the tip.

Nothing against making frequent reports, but our objective here is to educate and help you avoid them - not ban people. We don't like banning/tagging people..we wish they were all nice and honest. The tags stand as warnings alone not punishments.
So if we can help you avoid them then thats a good start to avoiding issues altogether!
