    What happened? Description:
    I had been friends with this person for months. Have spoken to them before and nothing seemed odd.. He messaged me asking if I was willing to trade 2 knives for cash, I've done it before.

    Went on discord, we both had screen share on. He had the paypal lined up with the amount we agreed upon, I had the trade window open. I hit ok, he exits the discord and blocks me on everything. It was a Karambit Slaughter Factory new and a gamma doppler flip knife.

    I have his steam account, his paypal, his name. All screen shotted. I sent him a money request after the fact, no money.​

    Provide Evidence:
    I've included everything I can possibly add.. Please help me get these items back. Please.​

    He gave me the figure in discord, the $880. I also included it in the trade agreement when I transferred the knives. Which he accepted (obviously). He blocked me and then once I filed this report he has now been talking to me non stop. Its insanity.

    Also FYI - we can't get items back - they are gone.
    Valve doesn't even return items anymore.

    Is there any recourse that I have? He has been messaging me non stop. Can I contact steam directly? I've never dealt with this before, I usually never trade and ya :(

    I'm not sure what you mean by messaging you non stop? Don't discuss steam trading outside steam chat. Keep conversations to Steam and screenshot it all
    We don't review anything thru discord or 3rd party IM's.
    You can report them to Steam if you like but they won't return the item(s).

    He literally blocked me as soon as the trade happened, once I reported him he unblocked me and has been messaging me on steam.

    I would suggest you ask them for your item back - you can link them this report and they can post here that it was done in next 24hours.
    I'll conclude report with whatever has happened afterwards.
    DO NOT take money from this user - ONLY the item back and their excuses are just that excuses if they do not.

    I have asked for the items back. He says there is a 7 day hold on them to trade. I see the 7D on the items. They can’t be returned to the original person sooner ?

    Ok well inform them that if they do NOT post here within next 12hours since 24hours is almost up explaining that and that they will return the items the report is going to be reviewed without that information - if they reply here noting that the items will be returned after 7 days I will put a 7 day hold on the report before I conclude it.
    I can wait a few days.
