    Report Type: [Item Fraud] Quick-switch trade scam or attempt
    Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561197967159739

    Victim profile: 76561197967159739

    What happened? Description:
    He tried to use OpSkins to "Verify" That my items were ok to trade. Once i heard that website's name i knew he was trying to scam me and so i went and download some video recording software and hit record.


    Heres the video of him trying to scam me.

    How his scam works:
    1) Contact a person and say they want to trade and need a trade link
    2) Tell the person to get onto Opskins, tell them how to make an account if needed.
    3) Tell them to list their hats for $100 so "no one will buy them"
    4) Tell you to not click the "Deposit Items" button.
    5) Tell you to refresh the page
    6) They will send you a trade offer from an account called Opskinsbot#(random Number here)
    7) They get your hats for nothing and disappear.
    Some will use Skype to Screen Cast. They never call their bots OpSkins#000-081 for some reason, as Opskins only has 81 total bots. This is the big giant red flag that they're scamming.

    Ive had about 5 other people try to scam me which is find funny because i only have 2 really cheap hats, Orbiting Fire Brain Bucket and Stormy Doctors Sack

    Thanks - issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your friend/user activity thru a web browser - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you open this in a web browser before doing anything rather than steam client. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in any way! Upload HERE…NOT imgur, NOT gyazo or any other 3rd party hosting site!
