I don't know if this is also needed, but here is the item history.

I did some more digging, and after a day it seems like it was traded to another strange looking Steam user. I added him and did a bit of sleuthing to learn some things about him and how the scattergun got there. I said I wanted to buy it from him with PayPal even though it wasn't even in his backpack. After that, it was pretty evident from the chat that this guy wasn't legitimate. Enjoy the chat logs

It seems like it was then traded to someone else, who seems a bit more legitimate, having an actual TF2 collector's backpack. I'm going to try to talk to him and find out more about what happened.
