Description:
I saw her thread on the Steam forums http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2701690. I usualy go first and this time was no different. I sent the $20 via PP (see pic 3) and the she was suppose to trade over 2 Pile O' Gifts. She said she could not find it in the Store... it was late and I figure we try the next day. Next day after a little chat (see pic 1) She says she found the items and would be back. She's still in my friends list so I really didn't mind waiting till I had more time and we both were online. On Friday the 18th I'm off her friends list. I like to give people the benefit of a doubt... sinse I can't add her maybe she was having Steam problems so I add 2 of her friends. I added http://steamcommunity.com/id/interrobangin and asked if he could let her know about a PM I left for her in the Steam Forums. She removes him. I then try http://steamcommunity.com/id/Alsttr (see pic 2) She removes him as well.

Yesterday I check in the forums and I find this http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2709173

I still think that the account might have been hacked and I'll be sending Steam Support the PP email and other thing their way so they can check it out. I mean... why would a Steam user since 2004 with so many games and play time risk getting banned or loosing their account over $20!? It just doesn't make sense. I can't get my 20 back but please add her ASAP so people can check on Steamrep and know that somethng is up. Thanks!

More and more I'm thinking this account was hijacked. This is her newest thread on Steam.

When I was adding people from Dawn's friends list Katsu was the only one that didn't respond, he's usualy on when she is and check out the thread... "EDIT2: I traded one of the cards successfully(i gave him the key first, then he traded items, check my profile for the rep from it)" and who did she trade with and added a comment on her Profile... Katsu! I don't know... If he is knowingly helping a scammer (or maybe it's her alt account...?) the least he should get is a warning or something....

Thanks for the report. A SR admin will review this as soon as possible. Meanwhile, i will add the scammer to investigate about this.

I already sent HelenAngel some info regarding this and I was going to copy and paste what I sent her but I lost it... anyways... Short story long.

Once my scammer (Dawn) was banned by Steam (a couple of days after sending my ticket) I never thought about it again. The good guy won and the Scammer was punished. Couple months pass and her trading ban turns into a probation and now she has a clean record. I was hoping her Scammer (Steam banning) status would be permanently tagged to Steamrep... bu it wasn't. So hopefully this ties evrything up and is added to Steamreps scammer list.

Hopefully some of that made sense... anyways thank for any help you can give.

[Ultimate] Zion said he would add the scammer to investigate but a few days later after the Steam ban I'm not sure what became of his findings... if any.

She might be using an alt account because she hasn't been on the forums in some time and her Steam activity slowed down. Either way she should have been added a long time ago... I don't think she even cares or would try to appeal. Either way the warning for her would be out and permanet.
