    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561197972674878

    Victim profile: 76561198138721787

    What happened? Description:
This user is impersonating to be a Steam/Valve developer and that he can verify if items are genuine.

We all know that is a load of BS

I came accross him in the CSGO discussion group, where someone asked if he is a scammer or now. Needless to say, all answers were unanimous

I am also reporting him through Steam

    Provide Evidence:
    Profile pictures
Looking at his profile says it all

In what way were you involved with this user?
I do believe I've asked this before on a previous report you made.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I came across in a discussion on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/1480982338945963875/

I haven't been directly involved with him myself. I do not thing that calls for letting it slide, this is all about helping the community to be safer. Am I right!

I know the report to Steam will be acted on, it takes some time, but they do not like when users impersonate being a Steam/Valve employee when they are not.

In the meantime at least people can be warned with a tag from SteamRep

Yeah you need to have direct contact with whom your reporting - be it they added you (you show it in a screenshot waiting to accept friend invite) or you talked to the user and they tried to pass off something related to what they are doing to you etc etc.. otherwise its just a rat race for users to hunt someone down that is perhaps posting odd things on their profile to report them which isn't what SR is here for.
I've tagged the user this time - but please remember that in the future.
