Description:
a friend told me that one of his friends (Lamb) was looking for the game Alan Wake and was paying a vintage bills, I added Lamb, confirmed that she was willing to do the trade, purchased the game, and then she offered a lumbricus lid, a tribalmans shiv, some demo boots (one at a time)... finally put the bills in the trade window, then accused me of being a scammer and tried to convince me to trade the game, let her install, then receive the bills later. I now have a copy of a game that I don't want that I will get less than I expected for. I would not have purchased if she had not already agreed.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly- Alan Wake was a Steam tradable game and viewable in the trade window, correct?

I talked to Lamb tonight and it was a misunderstanding. First, she is quite young. So while I understand your frustration, the insult at the end about her father was quite inappropriate. She definitely wasn't trying to scam you- she didn't think you could trade games like that through Steam. She thought they still had to be gifted. She was quite uneasy about the whole thing because she's had quite a few people try to scam her out of hats. So in the end, it came down to both of you thinking the other one was trying to scam the other- which I really don't think is the case. It's also made her leery about trading in general because the last few times she's done it, things haven't gone well.

I am sorry that you now have a game that you didn't intend to hold on to but I do think you will be able to find a buyer. =) I'll also talk to Lamb and see if she'd still be willing to trade. Thank you for the report!
