What happened? Description:

I posted on reddit a thread requesting League of Legends Riot Points in exchange for Steam currency (Keys and games), i had a few keys left and he asked me to trade 13 keys for his 25$ Riot Points card, i decided to go first (Took the basic steps like checking his Rep, checking his previous trades, asking him if his code followed the 10-digits only numbers of Riot cards, ect.) and it seemed to be going just fine until he insta-deleted me giving me a fake code (6594172280), it looked legit, i had redeemed codes with a similar combination of numbers, but this one is not the case.​

I was unable to obtain the picture of the chat, my PC shutted down and he deleted me, so i couldn't get another screenshot at it when i wanted to take proof of it, hopefully it won't be neccessary.

And here is the confirmation that the code doesn't work, had to take it with a camera for being unable to take a screenshot directly from my PC (don't ask why), regardless of that it can at least show is legit.

As you can see here the code doesn't work in NA, but i also tried it on other servers such as LAN and LAS, doesn't work there either.

If there is any additional information that needs to be added, please say it right away.

This is just a heads up, this person is not to be trusted.​

Unfortunately, i was unable to take a screenshot of the chat in time, had a blackout, and since he deleted me i could not open the chat again to see our previous conversation, if there is a way to still collect a bit of our conversation i would be more than glad to hear it.

As far as it goes, the chat was pretty much an standard trade, i asked for proof of the card in chat (which i completely forgot to include in my report) with my username on it:



I also asked if it had only numbers and also if it was a 10-digits code, it seemed like a legit code.

You have to be able to open a chat window with the particular user to see the recent chat history.

I can't, he does not appear in my friend list, therefore i don't see a way to open a chat window with him, can you teach me a way?

In some cases you may be able to do this by e.g. membership of the same group, participation in the same chat room etc.

No chance, it seems my only hope is he responds to my Reddit messages, i will let you know everything i can.

Please don't let this case die, this person is suspicious, and judging his hours on Dota 2 he might scam other people.
