What happened? Description:

He offered to pay a lot extra for my knife and said that we needed a middleman. I said we could use my friend or a SteamRep middleman. He said to just use my friend because it would be faster. We all got into a group chat and once I gave my knife to the middleman, the scammer changed his name and profile picture to mimic mine and PMed the middleman to trade the knife to him(he appeared to look like me). I had warned the middleman of this before we got into the group chat so, he didn't fall for it. Once the scammer knew he was caught he changed his name to something different that was it was to begin with, same with his profile picture, he said in the group chat "Found better offer, sorry" and left.​

This is a picture provided by the middleman, it shows that the scammer attempted to impersonate me by changing his name/profile picture and asking for the knife.

The is a picture of the group chat that the scammer, middleman, and I were in. It shows him saying "Found better offer, sorry"; this occurred after the picture above/before this (where he asked the middleman to give him the knife). Basically he said this once he had been found out.
