    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561197979060745

    Victim profile: 76561198144516837

    What happened? Description:
User "samsonthedog1007" randomly sent me a friend request. Naturally, I accepted it, as I had my TF2 unusuals displayed on my profile and I assumed he wanted to buy them off of me. After adding him back, he asked if I was selling my unusuals. I told him I was; selling one for pure and the other for overpay. He was interested in paying more than the backpack.tf listed price, and then asked if I had any online friends, as he wanted to make sure the items "weren't bugged."
At this point, I believed this was a term I was unfamiliar with, as I am not very experienced with trading. I said, "OK, I'll go contact and IRL." After waiting awhile (my friends weren't online) he asked if we could get a steamrep middleman. I saw no problem with this, and he sent me the list of steamrep middlemen. I saw that one of them was online, and his steam name was Everfast. Samson said, "I can contact him and pay for the whole thing."
Soon after, he added "Everfast" to a steam multi-user chat. He wanted me to give him my items for "checking," but before doing so, I checked this Everfast's steam profile, which was empty. His only friend was "samsonthedoog1007" and he had only one game; Team Fortress 2. Immediately, I realized he was trying to scam me, but I didn't end here. I decided to keep things going. I didn't say anything about him impersonating a steamrep middleman, and at this point, one of my IRLs went online.
I told him the whole deal, we got into a skype call, and started to discuss this. I gave my friend my unusuals, and, according to my friend, he had 2 steam chats opened; both with my name on them. He carefully traded my items back to me, and "samsonthedog1007" asked if we could do the whole process again. This time I had 2 chats opened that had my IRL's name on it. After trading the unusuals (again) I told samson to go try scamming someone else. He blocked and deleted me from steam.

    Provide Evidence:
    (sorry about the quality!)
Initially, I recorded this to share with friends for laughs and all, but I then realized I could report the user on steamrep. The bad quality is due to me recording as fast as I could without properly setting things up!

    this is really important.

You should add a screen of the profil with the url seen.

Oh, sorry about that. Forgot all about the URL.
And yes, I do know that he's already tagged. I just want to make him look worse ;)
