    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [None] No items

    Accused profile: 76561197988100473

    Victim profile: 76561198156238574

    What happened? Description:
https://i.imgur.com/TaMSG0R.png — I have a comment on my profile with a link to the SteamRep scam report page, yet someone still tries to scam me using one of the most obvious scam methods in existence. That’s just bizarre.

Anyway, this is the same item verification scam that I reported less than a week ago. I didn’t bother playing along for hours again. Also, I accidentally closed the chat with the Marty Birdman impostor. My apologies. I don’t even know what key combination I pressed. I hope there’s still enough evidence. You can see the earlier parts of the chat with the scammer in the profile screenshots.

What happened was that someone impersonating a well-known trader added me to get me to add a “Steam Community admin” to “verify” my items.

Here is the “admin” who was involved in this:
    | steamname: Sir Johanness
    | steam3ID: [U:1:3782451]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:1891225
    | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197964048179
    | customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/johndals
    | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197964048179

He’s already marked on SteamRep, but the person who first approached me, the Marty Birdman impersonator, is not.

    Provide Evidence:
The evidence is provided in the form is multiple screenshots attached to this thread.
