But trusted middleman and admin XxXM@$T3R CH33FXxX was eye witness.

Description:
Thanks to M@$T3R I did not get scammed but he asked me to report it so others do not get scammed.
Here is what happened:
The guy adds me, tells me he will pay $340 for my peacer towering pillar, steaming geisha and 2 buds. That is around 10 buds for items worth maybe 8 max. He asked me to find a middleman, which I did but apparently it was too slow for him. M@$T3R tells me to check out playtime and account creation. 3 hours total playtime in tf2, account created in 2007, empty backpack with no item history on tf2items. So I confront the guy and he dodges and asks me to find a middleman.
Next he invited me into a chat with someone called dmtdude and starts talking. Then I add M@$T3R to the chat and he quits. In the meantime he had set his profile to private. I am pretty sure the dmtdude was fake, since I had added the original before and he did not reply (probably idle according to his nickname)

I realize that I do not have proof other than M@$T3R being eye withness. If the real dmtdude could confirm that he was not in the chat, it would be proof for the impersonation. Or M@$T3R who saw the dude could confirm.

Most likely explanation is that this account got hacked and he is doing paypal chargeback scam with it.
Please make sure he doesn't scam others, even if I got off lucky.

Sorry, I should have put in the middleman's steam info instead of a nickname, I didn't know what he usually goes by. I thought he was an admin here but he is "only" listed as RAWR ADMIN, SOP TRUSTED SELLER, UTC ADMIN

Besides, how is my title misleading? At the very least this should be a huge warning to future traders:
- made an unreasonably high offer
- has no items in backpack
- has no play time on the account
- dodged questions about the above points
- switched his account to private when confronted
- stopped replying when told he would be reported despite being still friended (what innocent trader would ignore that?)

I only still have the proof for the last bullet point since I kept the second chat window open, screenshot is attached.


Look I am sorry I did not document it, I am not an experienced scammer hunter yet, luckily. I just wanted to do the right thing and report that guy.
Anyways, I did my part, Zero will confirm my statement.
