    Scam Report

Report Type: [Gambling] Gambling fraud or spycrab runner
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561197997390742

    Victim profile: 76561198104649119

    What happened? Description:
I'll say first that I did not fall for his attempt, I'm aware of these types of methods and was onto it form the start but played along to gather the evidence needed. User added me a day or so ago. Just now messaged me claiming he had funds on a site he couldn't withdraw and asked me to withdraw for him. After some talking he linked me the site and told me to log in. I did so and soon after it said I had about $400 or so in coins available. I asked him how he deposited into my account balance when he didn't even know my steamid.

After trying to click withdraw for the item he wanted it told me I needed to deposit an item before withdraw (which actually is pretty standard for most gambling sites). Yet it only would allow me to select items in my inventory worth $20 or more (go figure).

After clicking the deposit button, I got a trade offer from this profile:

    | steamname: Main Bot Accepter
    | steam3ID: [U:1:346306381]
    | steamID32: STEAM_0:1:173153190
    | steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198306572109
    | customURL:
    | steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198306572109

    It's previous names are:
    Main Bot Accepter
    [OPSKINS] Bot #011
    volmolo

I then questioned him and tried to trick him but he just played dumb. Ended up telling him nice try but neither him nor the trade bots profiles even owned csgo.

Hopefully something can be done to stop this from continuing. Would it be a good idea to try to contact his domain provider?

    Provide Evidence:
what do I type here? <.<

Thanks - issue is I can't confirm you were ever friends with this exact user by SteamID - all I see is a chat box with a name and profile image. Need to verify this and you can do that with a screenshot of your activity - when you take this and it shows you adding the user hover your mouse pointer over the users name so it shows the popup of the profile. Make sure you have the Steam Client URL enabled before doing anything. Take the screenshot and make sure it's Full Screen and make sure steam client URL is enabled, not edited or cropped in anyway!

Also need a full screenshot showing you in the site - hover your mouse pointer over the deposit button area and show the trade offer URL or URL directing you to that deposit bot.
Also copy/paste the offer URL if it shows that.

Sorry didn't know you meant my entire screen, the capture program i use defaults to screenshotting only the window. I'll redo them all but it will take me some moments

Don't use a capture program .. print screen button and paint work fine.

There isn't a trade offer url, you add items and the bot generates a trade that it sends to you. Also, I am using print screen, but what i use defaults to just screenshotting the current window. And would the screenshots or a video recording of my screen be better to do of everything? (i assume a video would be harder to fake no?)
