    What happened? Description:
    Random add. This is the second time I was added by this individual. The first time, I ignored the request. The second time, I accepted knowing that its a scam. I immediately checked steam rep since this seemed fishy. Sure enough, this individual has already been SR banned.

    They sent a false steam analyst link (the 'l' is replaced with an 'i') urging me to click it to "check the price of my item". Knowing better, I refused stating that I am busy and cannot check at the moment. They continued being persistent in trying to get me to click the link.

    Becoming mildly fed up, I sent a shortened url to this users SR page under the guise of a MetJM screenshot. The fake SA url is registered in Russia, but all WhoIs information is obscured by ICANN.

    Given that this user is already known to be a scammer and that the link that was sent is clearly attempting to deceive people, I believe that this is proof enough to submit a report.​

    Do keep in mind that this user is already banned/tagged..there isn't any more we can do to this user. Should you come across a user like this again(check users out BEFORE you accept friend request) it is best to just report them to Valve, delete and move on.
    As for this report - its invalid since we don't accept phishing reports.

    You can report the user to Valve instead
    In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
