So basically, quick story. I know i was kind of hasty to do this, but this man said he was selling a "cozy camper" which looked a lot like a misc for 1 refined. I just got on tf2 a while ago and wasn't aware of the update. I put the refined metal up on the trade window and asked him if it was a misc. He said yes and i trusted him because he had thousands of hours on team fortress 2. When i went to equip it, it was a secondary item. I did ask nicely to trade back but instead he taunted me along with other people in the server. I have already tried adding him to for another chance to trade back but he decided to change his name/url again and block me.

The scammer tag on me, this was a very long time ago about a year when i used to key scam and stuff. I don't scam anymore and please don't take this the wrong way. I still have the item in my inventory http://tf2b.com/item/76561197998961132/751808120 if that helps.

Please believe me, I'm only trying to bring justice. even though it is only a refined, he may scam other new players in the future.

While the guy was a jerk, we sadly cannot mark for people being jerks. While he was mistaken as to where it was equipped (or perhaps was intentionally misleading you, it's hard to say), you had the actual name of the item before you traded. I am sorry it happened to you, however. Thank you for the report.
