Summary:

The chat says it all. I was approached by someone offering to buy my unusual Ten Gallon hat. First, he lowballed, then didn't hesitate to double his offer. Once he brought in a middleman on his own, who had a private profile, the alarm bells went off. I aborted the trade before he successfully scammed. Looking here, they are both already known scammers :/
