Description:

Victim traded his MW3 for a Dota 2 key. The scammer claimed to have won the daily dota 2 draw today and gave him that key. After the trade was completed, the scammer blocked the victim and would not respond to any text.

Could you please repost the chat screenshot using a service such as Imgur? Also, please be advised that Valve has officially announced that there is no such thing as a Dota 2 key: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2499356 Just so you know.

You have been misinformed. A Dota 2 key is a very real thing and is obtained from either a Valve developer themselves, or from winning this: http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=549077 .Also I can't get screenshots of a chatlog from a few days ago.

Nevermind, I see what you mean about the chat and actually i'd like to cancel this report as it turns out the victim turned around and started scamming people out of their Dota 2 gifts on playdota forums and I can't find the original chatlog between these two. But just for future reference, dota 2 keys are very real.

I was given a dota2 key by a valve employee directly (not traded for or anything, just a friend who was handing some out) but none the less, activation codes or cd keys scams we do not look into.
