I was advertising a trade for my unusual on TF2Outpost and the user K!LL3R adds me on his friends list. He offers to buy my hat using paypal and had pointed out a person who would act as a middleman. Of course, he was paying a high amount for my hat, which was suspicious to begin with, and not to mention, I wasn't even selling it for money. He decides to use the middleman injection scam by trying to use an impostor to deal the trade. I checked the steam profile myself and it seemed so similar at a quick glance, but honestly, it was a shitty cover up in the end.
