    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198020792984

    Victim profile: 76561198149305394

    What happened? Description:
    Parties:
    --------------
    Buyer (Victim): Mervsy
    Seller (Accused): "Moccachino"

    Product Information:
    --------------
    Item Name: Asiimov Awp
    Agreed Price: $50 (USD)
    Payment Method: PayPal

I first met the seller on CSGO Lounge, we agreed to execute a transaction with the following parameters; I would send the funds to the accused party, and immediately following the acceptance of the payment the accused party would complete the trade transaction. In reality the accused party accepted the payment, claimed to have "difficutlies" trading the item, and suggested I restarted my Steam Client. From the time I restarted my Steam Client, to the time I re-opend my Steam Client roughly 15 seconds had gone by, in this time the accused party had removed me from their friends list, and blocked all communication. After opening a claim with PayPal, the accused party proceeded to make false accusations such as "This guy is a fraud", statements like this one are quite comical given that his PayPal account is not a verified account, is not a US account, he has no method of payment linked to his account, and his identity has not been verified with PayPal.

    Do you have the chat?

Also please uncrop those screenshots and link the trade here.

Please give all your paypal history and a screenshot of the current situation of the chargeback from the resolution center and give your trading history.

I don't have the chat history, the trend being that he claims that the victim should attempt to "restart Steam", in this time he blocks all communication. Because of this, there is no way to retrieve the conversation history from the Steam Client itself. I have submitted a request for official conversation logs from Steam and currently waiting for a response.

I realize that the chat agreement is the most vital part but seriously this is a few days after I was scammed. I didn't have the chat history so I couldn't do anything but this is the same person and the same email on paypal. Same situation, I tried to warn this person yesterday by posting on the trade post but I have been blocked by Moccachino on there too. So what now? Do we wait for a third person to finally get it right before Moccachino is labeled as a scammer? :/

I just noticed this report of yours.

I'd like to point out that me and Mervsy has not even shown any interest in purchasing the AWP Asiimov I've put up for sale (which is still for sale to this very day) for my requested price . He offered me an amount which was drastically less than what I have requested for my skin, hence I ignored him and did not respond his "tempting offer", as it is clearly shown on the screenshot provided by him on the main post.

Mervsy added me on Steam regardless, trying to convince me to sell him my AWP Asiimov for his requested price. I declined his offer numerous times, but sadly he did not stop and continued with his unsatisfied attempts to sell the skin to him.

After Mervsy understood that I was not going to sell my skin to him, he started talking to me about completely different things, such as other games we're playing. We then both realized we were playing the same RolePlay server of GTA:SA named "LS-RP". After a short conversation with him, he told me that he's quite poor on that server with his character, and I quote "barely got enough cash to get into businesses". I then offered to sell him $10,000,000 on LS-RP for 50 USD via PayPal, due to me not playing that server anymore. I quit long ago and still had my character which was loaded with cash, hence I decided to start selling it. He agreed to my offer, paid up front and then I removed him from my contacts list.

Moments later I realize he submitted a PayPal dispute against me, trying to withdraw his payment by claiming that I've scammed him. Now I would like to mention that by that time I could not re-add Mervsy due to the fact he most likely blocked me on Steam (error "there was an error adding that friend" showed up). I couldn't get in touch with him and wasn't even aware of this SteamRep report until a friend of mine informed me about this pitiful report.

Now I would like to sum this long-ass text by saying, again but this time in different words, that Mervsy did not pay for the AWP Asiimov I was originally trying to sell. He paid for something which was completely different, and way out of Steam's environment if to be specific. I don't know what made him into writing this crap (might be related to the other guy who reported me days before and got his report trashed and archived due to several reasons). Seems like this pair of a✿✿✿✿✿✿s would do anything to get me "labelled as scammer", as they call it, and frankly I have absolutely no idea why.

If there are any more questions or concerns on anyone's behalf I would be glad to answer them next time I check this thread.

I would like to point out the fact that I have never played GTA, in fact, I don't own the game. But my hat is off to you, what an elaborate fabrication. games list.jpg

Not owning a game on Steam and not owning the game are two completely different things.

It appears as if you have swooped in for a quick "damage-control" session here on steamrep, am I correct?

I can see that you're obviously sticking to that silly story you've come up with, therefore I'll just leave this to the administrators to handle.
Have a good one till then.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we require evidence of chat through the Steam client, as such I will have to archive this report.

    Thanks.
