    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198023355695

    Victim profile: 76561198402554184

    What happened? Description:
A friend I had added on Steam apparently lost his account. The new user tried the classic "I reported you by accident, please add this Steam Admin" scam attempt. The accused is apparently the same user, impersonating said admin. They tried to scare me with a "pending deleting account report" for "duplicated items". Next they would ask me to trade them all my items so they could check if they were clear.

    Provide Evidence:

I already had this person added, which means this account was compromised. Further evidence to that is that they had a lot of brazilians in their friends list (including me). I started speaking portuguese only to mess with them.

They say they reported me by accident and gave me a link to a profile that I should add ASAP to clear my name.

I added the supposed Steam admin and they tried to scare me with deleting my account because of duplicated items, complete with an animated gif of them showing my profiled marked and them having the option to delete it.

I have noticed that you have a pending deleting account report issued on your profile, random user(s) reported you for having duplicated items.

    [22:42]
    Clueless:
I'm sure duplicated items are not against the rules tho

    [22:43]
    :
Are you aware that if you cant prove yourself here that your item is in good condition your account will be deleted on steam permanently?

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
