    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198025083656

    Victim profile: 76561198040484366

    What happened? Description:
He offers to buy your stuff. Asks you for prices, etc. Then he says he wants to have your items verified by a steam admin to see if they are dupped. He has quite an elaborate bullshit story set up. I ended up calling him on it, and he stopped responding. He's very clever though. He uses a second account (http://steamcommunity.com/id/imperialshadowsssssss/ or http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198160977370) to text you. That account's bio has a link to his inventory, but the name is the same to fool people into thinking it is the same account. I will be reporting the dummy account as well. The sceenshots are as follows:
    #1: Chat
#2: The first profile, with the link in bio.
    #3: Where the link goes.
    #4: The actual profile.

Note that I realized the scam before losing my items. The account he contacted me from has several reports against it, but this account (the real one) has been shielded by those dummy profiles.

Also, this POS doesn't know what a database is and how it works.

    Provide Evidence:
He uses a second account (http://steamcommunity.com/id/imperialshadowsssssss/ or http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198160977370) to text you. That account's bio has a link to his inventory, but the name is the same to fool people into thinking it is the same account. I will be reporting the dummy account as well. Shadows: hello mate
    BreNine: Hy
    BreNine: Hey
Shadows: i am interested in your unusual, i can offer keys for it, may i know how much is it?
    BreNine: Which one?
Shadows: all, may i know each prices?
BreNine: I'm selling the Old Guadalajara for 14 keys, the VR Headset for 13, and the L'Inspecteur for 12.
Shadows: so 39 keys all in all?
    BreNine: Yes
Shadows: ok so can i send an offer now?
    BreNine: Sure
Shadows: oh wait before i send an ofer
    BreNine: Yeah?
Shadows: can we first check your hat using a steam admin to make sure it's not one of those dupped/bugged hats? because if we will check it on bp.tf history, it can appear as clean, but after trading it, it can be dupped/bugged.
Shadows: so we can hire a steam admin so that he will be the one to check it for us
    BreNine: Really? That's a thing?
Shadows: yes i just want to make sure first before recieving those hats
    BreNine: What does this require?
Shadows: we will hire a steam admin but i will be the one to pay the fees so that the admin can check it for us
BreNine: How does he check it?
Shadows: he has a software called TF2 item verification Database
Shadows: he will use that to check our items
    Shadows: ok?
BreNine: As long as he isn't getting any of my stuff before I'm payed.
    Shadows: listen,
BreNine: Because this smells suspiciously like a scam
Shadows: the admin has the database. we will be sending both our pending offers to the database, not to the admin, so that the database can get the IP'S of our items in order to check it. but the software is prohibited to accept any offers because it's just a database, so we can assure that our items will always be on our inventory
Shadows: so the admin will just accompany us so that we can use the software
    Shadows: then it's done
BreNine: I just looked this up. It's not a thing. Either you are trying to scam me or, more likely, this so-called admin is scamming you into paying him for nothing.
BreNine: Google it, none of this exists
    BreNine: You there?
BreNine: And you have scam reports against you. Keys for hats or GTFO.
    BreNine: Figures.

I realized my mistake as soon as I clicked submit. I mistakenly reported the guy he was impersonating, not the scammer. I'm a f✿✿✿✿✿✿ idiot.

This is the account of the guy who tried to scam me. http://steamcommunity.com/id/imperialshadowsssssss/

Is there a way to remove or edit a report so I get the right guy?

It's backwards. The account reported was the legit one. The one I said was an alt is the real one.
